Duncan Invader owners: Do you think this p/up would tame a bright guitar? The tone chart looks like its heavy on the bass and mids, low on the treble. The JB in my swamp ash Gamp;L seems awfully bright. Input please!
I've used an Invader in my all-maple Epi LP, and it's awesome.
I forgot to ask if anyone has used it split as a single (I've got a coil-splitting switch)
i dunno.....i have an invader in a fairly bright guitar (alder body, maple neck amp; fb) and it always sounds a bit fuzzy to me or something like that.
The Invader is very fuzzy and i does have alot of bass and mids. Get a custom custom unless you want to play cookie monster sounding stuff with the Invader.

YAY Cookie Monster
I'm putting an Invader in my strat (possibly tomorrow)
I greatly look forward to some fun Cookie Moster Rock 'n Roll
Rock On
The Invader is a full range pickup. There are people that will tell you that it's bottom heavy and midrange heavy, but I don't believe this to be the case. It's a very loud, very full sounding pickup. It should sound quite good in a bright instrument, though you may have to roll off a bit of treble. Maybe not, depends on the settings.
Necropolo uses an Invader in his alder LPS. The sounds he gets with it are the most evil, most muscular, etc. ones I've every heard.
