Does anyone have any good info on Eddie's striped Strats/Charvels/Kramers? DId he generally have one quot;black and whitequot;, one frankenstrat, one 5150, etc... or did he have a bundle of each? Are there any good links to his guitars though the years... (like how you see the Black/Yellow one on VH1, etc...)

the black/white strat came first then eddie changed it into the red/black/white by painting it red adding a floyd and cutting the guard up. so those are the same guitar. however it has had tons of necks on it over the years. the black/yellow was a whole other guitar.

Yeah, the black/white, red/white/black guitar were the same. I believe it was a Charvel/Boogie Bodies body if I'm not mistaken. That was the original Frankenstrat. My favorite of the bunch is the black/yellow VHII guitar. The 5150 was a Kramer.

I really like a VH Fan Magazine i bought once called The Inside..... It was a special issue on Ed's guitar collection.... It was not his complete collection but it had good current photos of most of the important famous ones, plus strats, LP's and others! They showed his 2 Kramer double necks from the 82 Diver Down tours.. the famous double neck was the yellow one and he also had a red one for back up... used for Secerets/Cathedral...... I wish they would of had good up close photos of the 2 mini Les Pauls ed had 1982-85 for playing Little Guitars live.... He had a yellow transparent mini LP and a red one.... The Yellow one had Les Paul Deluxe PU's and the red one had full sized chrome covered Humbuckers... Neat guitars..... You see the Yellow one on the Diver Down tour and the red one on the 1984 tour videos that float around fans....

I think you can still buy back issues of that guitar special mag from The Inside 's web site....
