I've been looking at this model for a nice axe for a good all around humbucker guitar for (in no order) jazz, fusion, funk, blues, Phish stuff, etc...Smooth and light overdrive sounds. Here's the link, and BTW they run about $1300, do you all think they would suit me? Its the Godin LG Signature model....

I would put Godin on my very short list of the most guitar for the money. They are great guitars. Especially for the money, but that's secondary. They're still very nice playing and sounding guitars, regardless of what they cost, IMO.
Man the guy in blues band with me who is usually a jazz/fusion type of player has a Godin Montreal and that thing is one of the most amazing sounding guitars I've ever heard for the blues/jazz/fusion type of thing! he also plays a lot of rock with it too so it's pretty versatile!
I've played a couple of the LG models, including the Sig version with 2 HBs. I liked it a lot. It sounds real nice and seems pretty bright, which is probably related to the scale length and body dimensions. It's not a LP clone, but I'm not sure what else it might sound like -- somewhere between a Gibson and a Fender Fat Strat perhaps. It seems very comfortable to play. The US pricing out the door was substantially lower than $1300 a few months ago.

from : localhost/have owned one of these beauties for coming up on a year soon, and I can say that after I got this guitar, I have played countless others trying to out do it. But I have been having a hard time doing so, a VERY hard time. I recommend for just about any music style, overall a great guitar.
EDIT: I only payed 1200$ canadian for mine.

very nice guitars indeed!!! i love everything about them except the neck curve...just a little to shallow for my tastes...plenty wide, they just need to make one deeper!?
I like the LG with the P90s (they're Duncan Customs I undertand). It's very lively and easy to play. I liked it better when it was the 24 fret version for some reason.
The Exit 22 isn't bad either. The pickups are a little wimpy, but we can fix that...
