Well, dont' have it yet...mom came through and as a very early birthday gift she's going to order me a new bass (since the Airline gimped up my bass last year and has YET to pay for it!). Definitely ordering an Ernie Ball Stingray...but not sure 4 or 5 string yet...but I guess I'll see. I'm gonna order it used, probably off ebay. Don't have the money yet, but I can order it next wednesday, so in less than a week a new (to me) Stingray will be headed my way....can you feel the EXCITEMENT!

yeah, I'll be sure to post when I finally get it......man, I'm too excited...I hate knowing I'm going to get something new, but knowing it's like a week and a half away...SHEESH! the wait is KILLING ME!

I'm thinkin I'm gonna go with the 5 string...gives me a little bit deeper option, as well as opening up some of the blues stuff we do into a (much preferred) closed position especially in the key of E and lowering hte key of D

even though both of my basses are 4 string I vote 5! There is nothing you can do on a 4 string that you can't do on a 5, but there are lots of things that you can do on a 5 thqat you can't do on a 4! Maybe Im just saying that because I played a Rick 4001/5 the other day and have 5 string GAS! Either way, congrads on the new gear!!
