Hey I am new here and I would like to have a second oppionion on my current dilemme.

I am using a Ibanez 320FM stock. I want to mod my guitar's bridge pickup because it really lacks punch and clarity. My current choices are either the dimebucker or the Distortion. WHat you guys think? ANd btw will buying the non trembucker version of the distortion affect my tone? Thx

If you have the SZ 320 it has a fixed bridge so you don't want the trembucker version. The dimebucker is very articulate under high gain. It's great for lead work.

If you have a trem, buy the trembucker version. Don't cheat yourself and your E strings.

Duncan distortion has bottom end rite? I am more of a Iced Earth fella rather than Pantera.

IMO, the distortion will give you alot more rounded sound. I find the Dimebucker to have this big nasty boosted treble, and it seems to make your guitar sound like a buzzsaw at best. I find the sound to be kind of buzzy/fizzy sounding under gain. I also found the Dime to not clean up all that nice and I thought it could have had better clarity on leads (Single notes sounded fizzy). I personally like the Distortion though!

the question os NOT whether Trem or non trem, but the string spacing.

If your strings are under 2quot; apart at the bridge pickup, standard spaced, anything over and including 2quot; a Trembucker will line up better.
