Hi all,
I'm back to brag a bit. I bought a custom-made SG clone yesterday. It was made in 1998 by a premier Czech luthier (one of the 5 best) and I got it for like 400 dollars second hand because - well - it doesn't have the logo on the headstock. Before buying it, I checked out a couple of low-end Gibsons - the faded LP Junior, faded SG Special, SG Special and LP Studio. In terms of workmanship, this guitar blows them out of water. Everything is nice and tight, the guitar rings like a bell and is quite heavy too.
from : localhost/a look: a plain reddish-brown SG, mahogany body, maple (!) neck, Gotoh vintage-like tuners, Gotoh TOM STP. The pups were some ugly nonames and I immediately replaced them with a Gibson 490R/490T set (I really like those pups). Well I thought I'd replace them immediately but I had to do some drilling and gouging. But it's a keeper now!
Thats a sweet looking guitar!

Thanks. Well it's used and you can see it, but it's in a very good condition. The neck is straight, the frets are big and even, and it's pretty well-balanced.
