Now my strat's sorted, I'v decided on a Pup transplant for my passive Charvel/Jackson super strat (yes I know, very '80s)

I can live with the 2 Jackson single coils, but the Jackson neck humbucker is err, way too polite..

The Jackson has a black cover, no pole pieces visible, but I'm not overly concerned about the asthetics. So can anyone suggest a good S Duncan humbucker to change to? I'm looking for tone rather than power (no sense blowing the existing SC Pups away) Thinking about an Alnico 2 pro H/bucker (a la slash)..

Any thoughts? Anyone know the polarity of Jackson SCoils?

Many thanks for any assistance..

same polarity as the duncans
59b
alnico II pro
PGb
screaming demon(name is misleading it is not high output)
seth lover bridge

all these are friggin killer duncans but I HAVE let you know that in a strat type axe it would be best to get this!

Blues Saraceno Model™

PA-TB3 -- Created in the Custom Shop for Blues Saraceno, this pickup had to have the tone of the great old Gibson® P.A.F. and the power to cut through for Blues' unique and sometimes over-the-top style. Put this pickup in and you'll sound big, bad and plaid! Available in black only.
Four conductor cable

this is the PAF made JUST for a super strat!
unbelievably sweet paf tone with a slightly hotter output that goes with any single coils
it is also designed with a fender or floyd bridge in mind.
truely a sleeper pup for humbucker loaded strat players.
my one bud has it in his lone star fender strat and the tone makes you cry!
i even love the looks of it!

Lester, you're a giant! Thanks for the info..

Dude, Your description of the Blues Saraceno ought to go into the main SD site right next to the pup and in all the catalogues and added to Seymours description. You made me want one. Dang, just when I thought I had my pups figured out.

I want a pup that will make me cry...really.

Bridge and Middle SIngles, but a NECK bucker?? Interesting arrangement on a J/C, You sure the HB isn´t at the bridge?

Flip the humbucker over and tell me what the sticker says and what exactly you don´t like about the tone, and I can probably get you pretty close

BTW, that cover and the pickup ring are both oversize if this is a n ´86-90 Charvel, so you may want to hang on to both...

The Jackson Single coils are stacked bumbuckers if there aren´t polepieces visible (J-200), and on the others with visible poles (J-100 series) the wiring and phase are identical to Duncans
