Squires are ok if you give it time and play a lot of em and find a good one. If you order one its pretty risky. Although thats kind of hard to do because a particular store won't have as many Squires to play around with as they would with Fenders and the like. You could buy it and switch the pups with SDs though. And if the wood is a jewel then you got yourself a bargain!(if you can get past the Squire logo)

The logo i dont have a problem with... pups are duncan designed, which ain't too shabby i suppose. I would expect to get it independently set up, tho.

I still own my Squire Strat(my first electric). Its a good chunk of wood. All it needs now is for me to get around to putting some Fender Vintage or SD pups in it.
