I want to convert my Epi ES- 5 type archtop with 3 p90s, 3 vol amp; one master tone into a standard 2 p90, 2 vol, 1 master tone and a three way switch.
( I'm leaving the 3rd p90 there for looks)

Before I take everything out, does anyone have any idea where the grounding is on this? It's not to the bridge and as everything has to come out through f-holes and p90 holes I was hoping someone could help direct me first.

Please..

aaaaaaaaaaa

Thanks.

Mike

Ok I don't really know.. but look far something that may be soldered to th eoutput jack that is not the hot wire (the one that goes from the switch)... or look at the pots... if anything is connected to their outer hull, it's ground... follow it

welcome to the message board

yes, the 'sleeve' of the output jack is the quot;groundquot; in a pickup wiring circuit ... as long as the ground wires from the pups end up connected there, you'll be good to go ... the 'tip' of the output jack is where the 'hot' signal wires end up on their way out from the guitar ...

remember to tie up everything with dental floss to make it easier to fish things back through the pot holes

good luck

Oooooh...... dental floss! Hey tfd, do you prefer the normal type or the one that tastes like mint?
