does anyone know of a decent strat shaped dual humbucker hardtail electric made of alder for under 500 dollars?

If you could go with mahogany, check out the SZ520 I have on the trading post.

NO! must be alder.

They go for over 6 bills usually though...

not a hardtail. the only HH hardtail strat is the american strat and its like $900.

i think jackson should have something quite similar to what you want. I just don't know if they go for under 500(at least here in europe they do,but that's another currency)

jackson's website is too confusing. can anyone guide me through which series is the quot;300-600 dollar price range stuffquot;?

get the price list from the ressources menu and then compare it to the hardtail models seen on the page. The MG and JS series should be in that range for sure but at the moment i don't know of more and i'm not familiar with american prices. Just for the info: on a trip to chez repuplic last week i bought a near mint(just needed a bit of cleaning and a floy setup) DXMG Dinky for the insane price of about 150 Euro including gigbag, strap and cables(used and from 2001 but who cares if it seems to have passed the time without beeing played?). Jackson guitars rock and even the price for a new one is great.

Look at the JS, MG, and Pro series.

the js30 dkt dinky hardtail looks like a winner (at least until i hear from Jeff B)

Pro series Jackon's are the next best thing to USA Jackson's IMO. Except for the fact that the 6th string never stays in tune on the Floyds they use..

if you're open to buying a used guitar, i bet you could find something on ebay

good luck
