Well, I finally went to Rondo Music in NJ to check out the (MIK) Agile LP as a gift for my son. They are the only source for new Agile guitars. They sell in-store on eBay and through their web site. Since I only work 1/2 hour away I figured it was worth the trip.

Before going, I did my homework and zero-ed in on the 3000 model - mahogany arch top, mahogany neck, ebony board with Alnico V PUPs, and full binding.

I don't think you can get a better deal on an LP copy. It's not Gibby, but I think if you dont look at he headstock, only the most familar and experienced eyes, ears and fingers could tell the difference.

To add to the experiece, the sales staff was helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly with no arrogance or impatience with my questions. I had my salesperson's undivided attention - I didn't have to share his time with other shoppers

I left the store just $435 lighter - with a beautiful cherry sunburst single cutaway guitar and case in hand, and a smile on my face.

I highly recommend Agile / Rondo to anyone in the market for an LP copy

Very cool. I have an agile 2500 gold top that I love. Put some phat cats in her and she is rockin. I also ordered an agile junior in tv yellow. It had the worst cut nut on it I'd ever seen. The bass side was really high with really deep cuts to compensate and the treble side was normal. Well except for an extra partial slot to the right of the high e string. On top of it I didn't like the yellow in person. Needless to say the jr went back and I'm waiting for my refund.

way to go animl ... glad to hear it ... i just placed my first ever rondo order for my wife's short scale J-Bass copy ... i bet i'll pull the trigger some day for an LP copy too ... even if you drop another couple hundred for pots/switch/cap/hardware, and Duncans, you're ahead of the game ...

I wish that they made the double cut in the 3000 series

I've got the 2500 Double cut in Trans Amber and it's a beautiful guitar, plays pretty well too! Great bang for the buck on Agiles.

lol im picky with my guitars....ex. woods, electronics, etc.

You should email Kurt and suggest it. I wouldn't be surprised if he came out with one. New guitars are constantly showing up and others disappear all the time. I almost check Rondo daily to see what's available.

Yes, the 3000 has a 1/16quot; top, the 3000M and 3500 have a thicker (3/4quot;?) top, but same finish

I've been seriously considering buying an AL 3000. Just ordering one and seeing if I like it.

I just bought that exact same guitar, Agile 3000 for 179 at a pawn shop. It was absolutely mint AND had dimarzios installed in it. I laughed all the way out the door. That is one awesome guitar even at regular price!

Rondo has an excellent return policy. Since mine was defective they refund shipping as well.

never heard of agile before, but they look like the deal of the century!

Kinda thought about getting one of their 12 string Les pauls. Anyone have one or have an opinion of one?

The are great guitars for the $$$. I have been recommending them to some friends. I bought a 3000M for my wife and she love its. True, its NOT a Gibson, but its damn nice for the dough!
