Ok guys...I need your help. Does anybody know anything about these speakers? They are rated at 35 watts, they are 8 ohms and they are from the middle 80's and are for sure made in England...lett me what you know...good or bad.

Thanks

If you don't like them, I'll buy them off of you , can't find those suckers anywhere anymore

What should a set in good condition go for? How do they sound...I know plenty about Celestion 12's but lmost nothing about their 10's.

I've got them in my 1965A....but I thought they were 30s; I'll check.

They sound really good...to me, they're similar to the 12H30: very even all the way around.

I might be able to hook you up with 2 whenever I get off my arse amp; throw 2 of those Reverends in there.

I wanna see how 2 AlNiCos amp; 2 ceramics sound in an X pattern....I've had them for close to a year now amp; haven't done it yet

Thanks terry and Chris...anybody else have anything to add? I think Im gonna pull the trigger on these afterwork tomorrow unless someboyd here can tell me I shouldn't. They are 35's BTW...They are 8 ohm G10L-35's...what would a pair be worth...they are made in England.

I'm not sure, but I know they were discontinued....I would guess no more than $50.00 each???

Someone selling them locally or on the quot;Bayquot;???

I had them in an old Bad Cat Hot Cat 2x10'' combo. Hated the voicing of the amp, but the speakers seemed pretty nice. It's too bad you don't see them around anymore, I'd love to put them in my '70 Vibrolux Reverb.

I say quot;pick them upquot;! If you don't like them, I want to be the first in line to purchase them off of you

Chris, is the Vibro a 2 or 4x10?

Same offer goes to you, if I ever get around to pulling them from my 4x10.....blah blah blah

It's a 2x10''

I'll see what I can do

My understanding from Lew amp; a few others is that by adding the 2 ceramic All-tones to 2 AlNiCo Celestions, it'll tighten the cab up quite a bit, esp. the lower end.

Truth be told, I haven't been in a hurry to do it because I like the warmth amp; oomph of the Celestions.

GREAT CAB....GREAT SPEAKER

I have the G10L-35's in a 1965A Marshall. The cab was recommended to me by Andy Marshall of THD amps. The speakers are nice. Tight lows, balanced mids, no ice pick highs. Get the speakers. I'm actually taking them out of the Marshall cab and making (2) 2x10's with those speakers to run in stereo.

O.K., I took a peek amp; yes, they're G10L-35s....it's the AllTones that are 30s.

Wish I could help...but the only Celestions 10's I'm very familiar with are the Vintage 10's. And I didn't like them! Love the Celestion 12's though...

Are these for your new Vibrolux Custom? Getting tired of the Kendricks already???

Lew

Lew, these are pretty sweet.

I saw someone comparing them to the quot;Greenbackquot;. I've never run a single one, but the 4x10 with a closed back sounds like a G12H30 loaded 4x12!!!

Just a big, full, very well rounded tone...even highs/mids/lows.

I like them....which, again, explains why I haven't tried the All-Tones

Thanks Terry!

Lew, I don't think Im tired of the Kendricks but they are 20 watt speakers and the amp is 40 watts...I would like a little bit of extra power if I can get it plus I've never tried the Celestion 10's and I can get a good price on these plus I think I have plans for the Kendrick 10's.
