Ok so what quot;must doquot; task do you string slingers most hate. For me it is tuning.
Tuning guitars is quicker than changing strings. So I vote for changing strings.
I absolutely LOVE cleaning guitars, polishing the finishes with different polishes and testing out what works. I've got a host of microfibre cloths, lol, that's how sad it is!
i voted changing strings. absolutely the most time consuming of the lot imo.
I actually don't mind any of those activities. I don't really have to tune my guitars all that often, and restringing/cleaning are a joy to me.
Don't mind changing strings that much, but I hate tuning.
i dont mind changing strings at all, which usually leads to cleaning guitars which isnt bad either. tuning is annoying though
Tuning takes less than a minute, and I don't clean my guitars unless restringing so I guess restringing it is.
I hate cleaning..I dont mind the changing strings at all really cos its usually not till 2 month periods, in which they get loads of play time and the strings sound like poo poo..So by the time I change the strings im excited to hear what it sounds like at it's best again..
tuning is what i do the most, and what i wish i could do the least...
yea tuning is the bummer for me because I try to keep it so flawless. Changing strings I don't mind at all and my sweetheart of a wife gets pissy because smudges don't bother me so she cleans them
Well I don't mind tuning, and I barely polish my guitars, so changing string it is!!
funny thing i dun hate any of the tasks.
Aaaahhhh: I like to change strings, tune up and love to do the cleaning with different polishes. I even do it with my son´s guitars - otherwize they would be dirty and out of tune most of the time. When he brings home his band members, I even clean, tune, and adjust their guitars and basses, too!
I don't really hate any of them, but my least fav is tuning. I love cleaning my guitars and changing the strings they soooooo good with new strings and my strat is much easier since I put sperzels on it.
Changing the god damn f**king strings or my bloody annoying pain in the f*8king @ss floyd rose.
Always a chore!
Muhahahaaa!!! Not so clever now, are ye, mr floyd rose luvver?
Lol, actually, that's one of the resons I'm NEVER gonna buy a guitar with a system like that. Also, I quite often detune my guitar to eflat or drop-d, and locking nuts/tuners are a pain.
Mind you, I kinda like cleaning a guitar when I have the time... if it's a nice axe, then you put in the TLC and it looks cool - and I'm sure it makes me play better, too...
I hate changing strings.
Since I have more than one guitar, I often get lazy in the case of a string breakage..
Instead of restringing, I'll just pick up another guitar until I muster up enough energy to change the set on the other axe (I always change full sets).
And even when I do, I often get the first three on, and noodle about on them for a while writing riffs. Then I get the urge to finish writing off that piece.. so I move on to a guitar that has a full set of strings, take the riff and elaborate..
Sometimes it'll take me 3 days to change one set of strings because of this. Bad I know...
Carrying amp racks that weight 100 pounds...and bass bins...freezing my butt off at 3-4am while unloading gear back into the practice hall. It's all part of playing the guitar. Damn I need a #$@%#ing roadie!
I don't really mind any of them. It takes very little time for me to do any of them, and I enjoy maintenance.
Changing string. My only guitar has a Floyd. I've only done it once and it was annoying enough. Nothing bad happened and I knew all what to do but still, it's long and a hassle
