Hi, I just bought the JB SH-4 for my strat. The guy at Guitar center said it was a good pup for the strat. I really like the sound but I noticed that it doesn't quite line up with the strings as good as the previous pup that I had in it did. It's not off by much though. I have a Mexican strat ( not sure the year) that I changed from s/s/s - h/s/s. Is this normal for this pup or no?
You will probably lose some of the bottom and highs from your E strings (not much). You should have gotten the JB as a trembucker which allows for the spacing for fender/floyd rose bridges. The trembucker spacing is just a little wider than the standard (should have been a TB-4 instead of SH-4).
