Well, I went and bought a Schecter C1 Elite yesterday.
I'm planning on swapping out the pickups in it to real Duncans. For the mid-happy metal that I play, I'm planning on getting a Custom for the bridge, but I want a smooth-sounding lead tone for the neck pickup. I'm torn between the '59 and Jazz. Which should it be? Any other suggestions?
I use a C5/Jazz combo in my C1 , it's a pretty versatile setup. Me likey.
Anyone else?
Jazz. I played a Schecter pt the other day that had a jb/ 59 set. The 59 sucked.
The Jazz or the Alnico II pro or the pearly gates.
Got a JB/59 in my Schecter and love it. The 59 is warm and smooth. Nice tone for leads.
'59 is smooooooooth. It's my favorite neck pickup with the Jazz in close 2nd. The Jazz is nice, but just doesn't have the mojo of the '59. That baby sings.
