Black hardware, black fretboard stain and black covered pickups? Yeah it would!!!!

black hardware is a pain... the paint on the bridge will wear away really fast.. and if you're fixated on aesthetics black or gold hardware will never match nickel strings

Cream looks so classy with black... definitely go that route.
