i want to install a good strong tele bridge pickup to match with an Alnico Pro II Humbucker neck with a Fender American Tele HS guitar... i want a bridge pup with a strong, glassy tone with punch and twang to spare... and of course, would match with the humbucker in the neck. any recommendations? im not too familiar with the tele line.
Try a Quarter Pounder!
Yeah...the Quarter Pounder is a good suggestion.
The Jerry Donahue is a favorite of mine too and has thick mids that I really love...especially good in a guitar that's maybe a little to bright and when you want to add some thick mids and reduce brittle highs.
The Tapped Tele Hot would also be a great one and you could replace your 3 way switch with a 5 way and get some extra tones.
1. vintage output bridge only
2. vintage bridge and neck
3. neck only
4. hot output bridge and neck
5. hot output bridge only

The STL-2 will match well and is strong and punchy, but not particularly glassy or twangy. The Jerry Donahue may match your description better and should match the APH if you set the HB low enough. I have an HS Tele with the stock Atomic II neck HB, and the STL-2 I put in the bridge works extremely well for blues and rock.
I'd go with Lew's suggestion of the Hot Lead with the tap and the same wiring Lew suggested. I have one in my MIJ Thinline paired with a Pearly Gates and they balance very well.
