Would I be correct in placing these 3 in this order? We're talking a dist. box, a phaser and a delay

Guitar-phase-dist-amp input
Delay thru effects loop

Is this correct? Thanks.

looks good to me.

That is a great link. I appreciate that!

I think you got it right first time Steve. That would definately be the option I would try out first. However, depending on the type of phaser I'd be interested to try it in the effects loop, before the delay. By type of phaser I refer to the number of stages in the pedals cycle. Though I think it's best not to get to bogged down in the 'correct' pedal placement routine. My advice would be to try the phaser in the loop, if for no other reason than to confirm your first set-up.

Just checked out that link BBKing posted. I know pedal placement is supposed to be a subjective matter, but I thought a lot of that was rubbish. EQ after O/D? mental. And other equally offensive ideas, I think pitch shifters should come as early as possible. It's a good idea to try compression out AFTER your O/D and distortion stages as well.

I'll give that placement a try as well. Thanks!

I'd be tempted to try that too
