Somebody's been watching too much quot;Monster Garage.quot;

how the heck did something like that happen...or maybe it was planned...

It's not really a shame to me. Good riddance I say

Call me a quot;glass is half emptyquot; kind of guy... But I think that Paul may be a little late in arriving to the emrgency room. There's a lot of damage there.

I'm gonna keep my eye on it. I bet it goes of for around $850 ??
(I still can't afford it )

Well, you just need to finish stripping top, and spray it. Who cars about maple top. New binding on the body and neck. Dont even have to be fancy. Just some creme plastic. I'd leave the rest of the finish like it is. I aint talkin about turning it into quot;like newquot; condition like I said earlier. To me quot;like newquot; is it plays like new. Not look's like you just took it out of the box.

...friggin' amateurs.

Makes me wonder how much wood was removed from the maple top? I'd buy it for $230.... I'd more then likely fill in the humbucker routs and use LP Deluxe pickups.. Paint it a goldtop.... It's a complete rebuild for sure... wonder if the neck can be used or if it needs complete replacing/rebuild... Wonder if it would straighten out with just a sanding block and a refret.

Whoever did that to a Les Paul deserves to be hung upside down by their testicles. Unless it was a woman of course.

yeah i think that guy is gonna be surprised that he aint gonna get much money on that.

i would give about 400-500$ tops cause it need quite a bit o' work

HOW THE HECK (or why) DID THEY DO THAT?

Gibson QC strickes again?

This one needs to be restored as it has felt the years, but still looks good considering the age and stripped condition

Serious candidate for undesrtatement of the decade, don't you think?

wow.

Oh come on guys...with a little hard work and elbow grease you never know...If the buyer works hard he might get a piece of crap.

You know, I think it would be a great buy for someone who wants to turn it into a project. There is no major damage to the body - most of the flaws appear to be cosmetic. Rebind, refinish, put some Grovers on there, replace any of the hardware and electronics that no longer work, and you've got yourself a really sweet Les Paul.

Someone on here should buy it and let us know how it goes. Do it!!!!!

The only thing that scares me, a complete amature, is the binding issue on the neck. Even that is probably doable with minimal skill.

MIKE! Stay out of EBAY!

I would love to jump on this one. The damage is done, so I could strengthen my amateur skills with confidence. I honestly think it could be on HELLUVA nice axe. But the reserve hasn't been met and it is already about where I would quit bidding, so I wont be the forum brother who posts pics of this resto!
