think this would look funky?

Standard Custom (Explorer)
Gold Top
2 Mini HUmbuckers (prolly something from the SD custom shop...more output)
Creme binding, rings, switch tip
TOM and stoptail
amber top hats

Basically a Goldtop explorer with minis...

sound crazy?

Indeed..but this would be something in the not so near future...next spring perhaps..

and I think Hameritis is actually a term given to a finish issue that older Hamers were know for?

The guy from No Doubt (Tom) has a Hamer Standard thats a gold top/light back with P-90's...like a 56 LP but a Hamer Standard...

I don't know why..but some reason that min/goldtop thing appeals to me in my mind...I normally don't care for Goldtops either...

Never saw one of those either. With the 3/4 size body they look fine because everything appears to be proportionately smaller but with the full-size body I think they'd look funny. That's just me though.

I'd go w/ P90s, and have it made of limba instead of mahogany .
