Even though I know my guitars fingerboard radius, how exactly do you measure it?

I think places like stew-mac etc have bits of hard card, with a concave cutouts to common values ( One per side of a square) . Jeez, but doing it with flexible steel strip...joining the ends...seeing the circle...measuring from the absolute center to the edge. Looking at the number...asking yourself how accurately you aped the curve...doing it again....being pleased and self fulfilled with the data. Heaven forbid its a compound radius!

Like suchBTW, Dan Erlewine includes a set of plastic radius gauges in the back of his book How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great. They're not the fancy nothed kind, but they work.
