wow what an improvement in my Jackson KE3, from some crappy HB-108's to a Duncan Distortion and a Dimebucker, unfortunately i couldnt get my DD split because i had to go buy the switch for it cause the guy didnt have any and my mom didnt wanna drive around any longer, but both pickups sound great clean except on the clean channel the DD seems to sound a bit louder... as for distortion, after playing around on my amp settings i came up with an awsome metal tone that i could never get with my old pickups. i could do something on the neck pickup i could never really do to good before as well, which are pinch harmonics, the harmonics on these pickups are great, and i love shredding on the neck pickup. i love this set up, and really im just going on about how i love these pickups, any of you guys use this setup before?
glad you like it!
to balance the sound better either raise the dimebucker or lower the dd a little until the balance is better
And if you can . . . split that DD as soon as possible. Its one of my favorite Duncan tones. (Its still the only pup in my Patriot.)
alright thanks for the advice guys... it'll probably be a while before i split that pickup but ill probably try and do it when i get my bridge locked
