Do you guys get the feeling that Scott is getting GAS again
BF
IMO scott always has GAS, he just knows that super special secret way to overcome it. His GAS is just great/showing more these days.

BF I'm channeling my gas in your direction. I've started an amp company and i'm mostly bouncing ideas off you guys as I start to get my plans together.
At this point, I think it is very possible to offer three great amps, maybe four, with multiple speaker configurations or heads and keep under $1000 while still using high quality parts. Speakers are the wild card.
So, the first several of them will be bargains because I'll be trying to get the word out and get some nice reviews on the net.
Scott, make something with a ****load of distortion.

That would be cool but...
How bout a 10 watt Plexi clone or something?
The Franklin will have a butt load of gain. But, you'll have to mic it or line out to a mixer. EL84's, vox to marshall tone.
Scott.....something in the Plexi tonal range perhaps....with EL 34's or 6CA7's? Two channels...clean and dirty?

Channel switchers just present a new level of complexity, one I'm not sure people are willing to pay for.
Blackface preamp into an EL34 power section is the setup my old Carlson Turbo Pup had. Awesome sound, like Fender meets Hiwatt.

I would say that by starting his own amp company he's trying to give us G.A.S.
I didn't click a single one of his threads about that subject because I know that I would start dreaming about what I can't afford.I've seen some pics of Scott's amp work and the man knows what he's doing.
Crap,now I'm curious again
How about copying the Two Rock circuit? You have a blueprint sitting in your music room.

well, it's a pretty complex amp in a lot of ways. I'm trying to keep things very simple. Simple is good, simple doesn't break as often.
I hear you. I'm really just trying to find a way for you to build me the Two Rock or it's equivilant for less than I will have to shell out for the real deal.....you have me so hooked on that Two Rock it isn't funny.

Yes Please!! A 10 watt marshall plexi - for recording and room playing. If you could also bypass the speaker and record straight from it. I'd buy one in a sec
Unfortunately I have no interest in a single channel amp. No big deal for you really since alot of folks do like the single channel set up.

How do you feel about an external A/B switch?

I guess it depends upon what it's switching! Do you mean two seperate amps run in an A/B configuration?

I think he means two different channels (one amp), but on different inputs (like some Marshalls, Fenders, Bad Cat Hot Cat etc.) so that they can be switched with an external A/B box.
