can anyone tell me how i can get a H/S/S setup to work great with a single 500k volume pot and no tone controls?

i want the 500k so the humbucker doesnt lose highs but at the same time i want the singles not to be too bright.
i have this problem with my current setup, where i preffer a 500k volume pot for the humbucker but the singles are too bright.

i tried using a 250k pot and ( and the singles sounded good) adding a .22 cap but it still didnt sound like a 500k pot on a humbucker.

by the way i dont use the tone controls ever.

so in a nutshell i want a great humbucking sound and a great vintage warm sound from the singles.

ideas?

How about trying a 250k tone pot on the singles and a 500k tone pot for the hum? Or going quot;tone-lessquot; for the hum and hooking up 2x250k tones for the singles?
