Hey. I have a '59 bridge model on the way that is regular spaced. I also have a C-5 trembucker sitting here. Is it possible to make a hybrid with these two pickups? Can they fit on the same baseplate?

I'm not sure if they'll fit on the plate, but if they do it should work fine, just the screws and slugs wont be lined up, you shouldn't get any (noticable) sound difference.

If you compare trembucker dimensions with regular, the baseplate is .1quot; wider on the trembucker. Probably won't be a problem, as long as you match the baseplate to the coil that has the adjustable screws.

I guess you have to use the screw coil and the base plate of the C5. This way the screws of the coil will mach with the holes in the base plate. You should also check if the screws that fix the coil to the baseplate have the same separation in both models. If not you won't be able to fix the 59 coil to the C5 baseplate without routing it.

Well it looks like this is not an issue for me seeing as I just sold the C-5. I'm curious as to whether it can be done though.
