I went toguitar center to buy a power supply wall wart for my tweak fuzz. They gave me a Boss PSA-120T input 120v 9w/out 9,6v 200ma. Will this work without doing damage? I dont trust guitar center as they usually hire musicians that dont know the product even though they swear they know the product specs.
Anyone know if this is the right adaptor or what one to get?
9.6 volts will be fine. Lots of pedals can work with over 9 volts, as it gives more headroom. I doubt 9.6 will make much of a difference, and the specs say quot;regulated 9-12V DC adapter powerquot; so the voltage rating fine.
The 200mA rating is a maximum, so you can go over what the pedal requires, but not under. The current consumption of the pedal is 3.5mA, so the Boss power supply will work.
