Pic #1 is the graphic when you block the light or turn the guitar,Pic#2 is when the guitar faces the light. This was done with thin layers of transparent metallic and pearl paints.
Pic #3 is the neck-the inlay,(which is hard to see because of my photography skills ),is about 30 pieces of aluminum that have been etched,(the spots on the all in the back is expanding foam-lovely looking isn't it?),and the logo,(which stupid hear forgot to photograph),sports a logo made by Wattage.
It's a 25.5 scale with 27 frets,Feiten tuning, aluminum binding around the headstock, bolt on with a 7.5quot; tapering to a 12quot; radius with an off centered quot;Dquot; shape to the back.
The neck is ebonized maple on maple with jumbo Dunlop frets,(6130),the nut is made from deer antler and the 'stock pitch is 15 degrees. The neck is 1 3/4quot; wide at the nut to 2 1/2quot; at the base. The truss rod is a single action that I made from carbon steel with a Gibson-style truss nut. This is also the neck that fell off the hanger while drying and lost a chunk from the fretboard,(which I never found so I inlayed a new piece of maple and reshaped).
The back of the body is contoured at the heel for upper fret access, and the bolts go through countersunk ferrules. It's a mahogany body with a slow arch on the top.String through body.
This is the guitar that I made the neck out of a skid, used reclaimed wood,no powertools and painted the face first-cut the image out-lifted it up and secured to the pick-up cover,(none of which I ever plan to do again!!!).That was to ensure an even flow to the graphic.I also made the top ferrules. This guitar has a gold-leaf on silverleaf tribal design on the back of the neck with a reproduction of an armband at the base of the neck at the heel join.
The back of the body,(for some reason the pic doesn't want to upload ),has a graphic of a skeletal hand flipping the bird.
This one was a ton of work and started life out as a bizarre kidney shaped bass body. All told the materials,(including harware and guts), cost a grand total of about $200.00.
However I don't even want to think of the labour.

That looks really spooky. Great job!
