I would like to get some type of looper/phrase sampler pedal. I just need it to be cheap and work well enough so that I can play a solo over the top of it. It doesnt really even have to sound that good.

Dunno about crap ones, but the line 6 dl4 green delay stomp box modeller has a fantastic looper which i think has up to a 14second memory! It sounds fantastic, and isnt too expensive.

i got mine for $250, i'm pretty sure that's what they go for just about everywhere. it's a little hard on the wallet, but the looper is fantastic and all the delay models rule as well. it's a lot of bang for the buck.
