ok...I haven't done this in awhile..
if you love superstrats/shredder guitars then DO NOT click this LINK3rd page of the thread has some killer super/shredder Teles!
I've never played a Hamer. I think I am missing out!!! Those guys are just like, 'oh yeh, here's my fifty Hamer shredders I just had layin around'. It's amazing how many guitars some people have!
i can't say they do much for me man.
but i can say that 90% of the Hamer guitars i have seen that are their own design (not a strat or explorer etc) have THE WORST control layouts ever. those super strats have such bad switch locations.

I hear ya Mike....I don't like the control layout on most of their guitars either.
I do love that Diablo though. Back in the day there was one Hamer dealer around where I lived in VA...and whenever I went in, I played those Diablos cos they were just SOOOO nice to play..(original Diablo, no single coil in the middle), and they were absolutely the best playing superstrats I'd ever played (along with the old USA Schecters). I really liked the angled neck pup..nice high gain tones with that.
I had a USA Jackson (HSS, flatop..dinky bolt-on type) around the same time period and the Diablo just trounced it, IMO...and the Jackson was NO slouch!
PS..I PM'ed ya back about you know what! LMK
In fact this is the exact color of the one I used to play all the time at that shop...

Just get one that has only one pup and one pot.
Most of them are just 'meh'.
I#8217;m sure they are nice players, but they really don#8217;t get me excited in the looks department.
And I#8217;m sorry, but teles look like poop with OFRs. I almost think teles should be required to have guards, too.

I hafta laugh when I see some of these 2-3K custom strats with quilt tops, bolt on necks, gold hardware and such.
If I want looks I'll go classic strat w/ a pickguard or Gibson, my Hamer, prs, etc.

Hey, I resent that remark.
Those are some nice guitars in that thread. The Tele's don't do much for me. The coolest shredder Tele's ever were the Kramer's Mick Mars played. I'm not a big Jackson guy either, actually, not at all. Gimme a strat-head Charvel or a Kramer and I'm good to go.

No...no....no...
I PROMISED to myself I would NOT buy a new guitar before I can play better. WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME????? *must buy XSSIVE Wayne mutt*

Opps..sorry bro
I don't know..its not that things like your Kramer don't look cool...but when I think strat...I want quot;stratquot;..white PG amp; all...for me about the only quot;super stratsquot; I like for looks are something like Mathias' old beat up red amp; black strats w/ HBs and Floyds...not a JEM, or SL1 or whatever ....
