Anyone else love this pickup? I got one off ebay awhile back, put it in the neck position and BAM - great sound for blues and such. I find myself opting for it over my bridge more and more. Am I crazy or is it really a good pickup? I noticed they come standard on some pretty cheap/mid-priced Kramer guitars (see which is kind of surprsing to me.
Anyone like the bridge (quad rail) version that can provide some comments? Maybe that slays too.
I'm the only one on planet earth that likes this pickup. I hereby claim it as the Dankerella Model, DM-1.
I have to be honest and say that I didn't care for it...or at least the bridge version anyway. I found it to lack clarity and it didn't have a solid punch to me that I was looking for...but the clarity thing bothered me more.
If you look on Ebay, though, there are usually some for sale that people have swapped out of their Kramers that can be had on the cheap.
After takin a quick peak at musicyo, i've spotted a green, flamey, strap-type Kramer with a tune-o-matic bridge and Quadrailsn/b and Dualrails in the middle.
If that's not the sexiest guitar alive, my name isn't Xander F. Face....

Have 2 quad rails in my kramer. Theyre good thick meaty sounding pups but i have to agree about the lack of clarity. One day im gonna get SDs n slap them in my kramer and then put the Quads in my BC Rich for fun.
exactly what i'm thinking...quads in my BC Rich for fun.
