The Man who Invented Fire (and I mean damn, that dude invented FIRE so I suspect he knows about the tube which will make my amp unleash the 7 layers of hell, fry any unsuspecting non-metal persons who would wander too close to my amp and at last bring armageddon to this decadent Earth to bring His night)
The amp is Laney (again!) AOR 30 pro tube combo. It uses 2 6V6s as power tubes, 3 ECC83 as preamp and another ECC83 as a phase inverter.

So that'd be 2 X 25 4 X 17 = 118 for a complete retubage... It doens't seem THAT bad (though my wallet disagrees).
I'm looking for a slightly smoother, less noisy and more gain tone. Maybe a bit more bassy too. No scooping (ew). Cleans don't matter THAT much since the amp's clean are actually pretty good. Also, would tubes also matter on whether the amp can be boosted much?
Also how much does a tech usually charge for rebiasing? I think the tech here doesn't...

I emailed him a simple question on what tubes to put into my amp, and I got a huge reply that was super informative. He can definitely speak in the terms you included in your post. I've been super happy since I retubed my Marshall w/ Eurotubes.
