How would it sound in the neck of my SG? There's sh-13 in the bridge for the record...

It´s my favorite neck pickup, period.... the Humbucker tone is dark and wailing, with sustain for years and of course a mondo output.... It can be muddy i9f your fingers and amp arent ready for it, but especially for quot;fluidquot; hi-gain shredding it´s unbeatable
Cleans are of course also a bit dark, but when split they REALLY shine... and overdriving the amp with a mildly harder attack is also easy ....
I use it with a Custom bridge in alder, but I´m pretty sure the Dimebucker would match up just as well... BUT the dark character of the pup paired with the SGs mahogany construction and short scale may be too much.... you may want something either brighter or lower output to balance that out a bit....
I posted this in your previous thread about this but, I like the the JB in the neck a whole lot better than the bridge position. Its a decent neck pickup in my opinion.

Im running it trough a Mesa/Boogie .50 Cal and I use the amp distortion for my rhythm distortions (dime mainly) and use a Big Muff and a Bass Balls (set at low level) for my solo tone (neck pickup [59 right now]). I figured since you all say the JB is dark in the neck...the dime is brighter than a japanese sunrise so in the middle position they should compliment eachother very well. Will the set up sound good? I play mainly indy/alternative/hardcore . Any other ideas for neck pups if the jb isnt my cup of tea?
A JB in the neck position is FAT FAT FAT It's somewhat similar to a DD neck pickup.
Not for me, but I can definitely see how it would work for certain styles
from : localhost/fun . I second everything Zerb mentioned; Love this pickup in the neck.
