What do you think? I'm thinking of a P-90 guitar; but I have a lot of animosity toward Gibson and how they operate. Gimme some ideas for a P-90 guitar that's not a Les Paul or a Gibson.

Hamer Special Korina. It's only got one P90, but if you can get past that, it's probably one of the best available. Just ask Evan. They have a few other offerings in P90s also.

Of course it's all about personal preference, but I'm thankful that I don't have an idle $2k or else I'd be looking for a PRS single cut with P90s. Delicious.

Seeing that you are a Tele man at heart I would look high and low for a Tele Jr. They are out of production now but they were made in the middle 90's...mahogany body, set neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound tailpiece and came stock with 2 Duncan P-90's!

Those guitars are bad ass!!!

You've also got the Fender Strat-O-Sonic DV II, with two Fender DE-9000 Black Doves, which I guess you can change afterwards for two SD P-90's.

I like the idea behind this guitar - Gibson specs in a Strat body - and it's simplicity. But I haven't got one nor have I read too many things about her.

It can be on a quality and price level similar to a Strat American Deluxe model.

I have only heard a demo with her in a guitar magazine, but I must say that I liked it - classic tone.

Fender Strat-O-Sonic DV II

no gibson...hmmmm I'd prolly go with a McSoap.....Hamer...Heritage...

Man, a PRS Single Cut with P-90s.... That would be the ticket.

If you're looking for something to experiement on, Rondo has several SX/Agile guitars with P90's. Quite a variety: plain mahogany, maple capped, semi-hollow, Fenderish. Even a 3-P90 goldtop. Prices start at $99.99.

Of course, you'll want to install Duncan's right from the get-go.

Look at this...
Would this model Agile be decent?

Agile AL-2000 w/P90 Pickups

Those PRS SE guitars are pretty damn nice for the money and the P-90 versions are killer...set neck, slab mahogany body, p-90's and a wraparound tailpiece...you can't loose like that!

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the agiles...Originally Posted by Butch SnyderWould this model Agile be decent?

I just made a trade for this: from : localhost/that price, it won't be the best anything, but it should be fun.

The Hamer goldtops are nice if you get a good one. But the LP Junior is the standard.

The Squier is pretty cool; however, I'm looking for a body style a little more like an LP.

Hamer's are absolute TOP QUALITY instruments from an awesome company!!!

here's another option for ya! i'd give my left nut for one of these! (did i say that outloud? lol)
reverend slingshot.

stage king series looks pretty decent for its price once you get used to its shape.

I agree with the guy who invented fire... if you can find one, get a Fender Custom Shop Tele Jr. Mine changed the whole way I play guitar (almost). That's why I use TeleJr24 as my user id.

it also really turned me on to P90s.

for something between the agiles and the high end, maybe try a PRS SE line soapbar model

good luck

don't fender jassmasters have p90s? or maybe they just look like p90s??

If you can find one secondhand/used try a Gibson Nighthawk. I know you're not really interested in Gibsons and I agree they're d*ckheads but I've heard the Nighthawk's a cool guitar.
