hey all, i was wondering if you all had any tips or special setups for strat 2 point sync trem brides to improve tuning stability because as soon as i touch mines a little i can hear the diference.. its not much sometimes but i notice it and it tends to anoy me :P i want to be able to use it and maybe give a few dive bombs if i feel like it without it sounding like crap after (i know its possible, jsut look at hendrix or blackmore :P)

It used to be set up with 3 springs i added 2 more and it helped but i stil cant realy use it without it falling out of tune.. i seen and heared a few stuff like seting it at a near 45 degree angle or seting it so it rest on the guitar, increasing string gage, or adding a trem-setter (not sure how that works but ive seen some) i seen stuff to like only puting 4 springs (in this order X0XXX) or blocking the trem with a wood block but i think thats just to lock the bridge in place so has nothing to do with what i want. Ofcourse theres always the good old Floyd Rose wich would be the quot;bestquot; but its not what i want on this guitar, plus it would remove the vintage look and i dont feel like rerouting my first guitar to install one lol thanks

Did you put on thicker strings?? If so it may be catching the nut (mine is starting to right now on mi MIM, but not enough to throw it out constantly.. thank god)
Also try wrapping your strings around your posts a dif. way, theres a way the heavy non-locking trem guys do it to keep it in tune well, and I want to learn it (mind you, my MIM strat stays in tune VERY well, a little less with the bigger strings, but a simple nut file will help that).
You could also try some of that nut sauce stuff, or (to help the nut) rub some HB pencil in there.

I think thats it for now.

I dont think the nut would be a problem here, its an LSR nut.. and i use 9/46 strings, bridge is a American Vintage Custom 2 Point Sync. Trem (like the one on the Custom Player Strat). What do you mean by quot; Also try wrapping your strings around your posts a dif. wayquot;? as for the how the heavy non-locking trem users.. i want to know the sercrets too lol, its why im asking in case someone would know some.
Dont get me wrong btw, my gutiar stays perfectly in tune at all times even when doing full bends or higher (though exess might cause some detuning or might even brake a string but exess can be fun sometimes lol) but its once i play with the bar a little, tho sometimes miraculously it stays in tune but if i touch it again it screws up so.. i can forget dives, even small ones or or any kind vibrato unless i do it very subtle and not to long (i do that with my palm anyways not the bar).
