Heya all, I have a question about a new amp/pedal setup I'm thinking of getting.

Heres what I'm thinking...

- Fender Pro Junior 15W Tube Combo - $299

-Snarling Dogs Black Dog Vintage British Tube Emulator - $60

I'm trying to be able to get a good clean sound (Fender tube cleans) and then use the pedal to get a Marshall Plexi overdrive sound.

Any input or suggestions about this combo to try and get the above tones in an inexpensive amp/pedal setup around the same price as the one above would be really appreciated. Thanks!

15W will have very little headroom. YOu might be better off going with a 22 watt Deluxe os a Pro. The Pro Junior is a real nice sounding Amp, but once you start playing with a Drummer and a Bass player you have to crank it to be heard and once you do that you will loose a lot of the clean headroom. More watts = more headroom!

Would I be able to change the speaker in the amp to allow it to have more headroom and overdrive at higher volumes? I've heard the Pro Junior is pretty loud for 15 watts, around 30-50 solid state watts. A friend of mine recently played a gig with a 30 watt solid state, and it was plenty loud to keep up with the drums and 60W bass amp.
