or overdrive etc...
To be used with a bassman or a Champ/Univox U-45B combination. Want to get heavy tones ala Crate Blue Voodoo etc...good all around distortion that can be adjusted for hard rock amp; metal like Priest, Rush and a little harder. The amps themselves give that great vintage rock tone, but to kick it into overdrive...lol
you might want to try out a jekyll and Hyde
Not sure how it'd do for that, But from the soundclips it seems like it can do anything and thats the boss Mega distortion. As soon as I get my new amp payed off, im gettin one.Im sure the electro-Harmonix English muffin' would be great for ya tho. Depends on what ya want to pay tho. Theres also the carl-martin Plexi Tone.
Anything that does the 80's marshall tones should work. I have a jackhammer JH-1, and it'd quot;workquot; for thoes tones, but its not very powerful, better for the lighter stuff.

Hey, I forgot about the Jekyll amp; Hyde! Thanks.
I had the delay/chorus pedal and didn't like it too much but I've heard good things about their distortion pedals.

mega distortion gets my 1!
I narrowed it down to mega distortion and rocktron zombie distortion before I went for the zombie. because the zombie was much cheaper, as heavey and more fun. it's a close call, tho. mega distortion is better built which explains the price. also, after I bought it, I noticed the rocktron zombie's by pass flat out sucks. it sounds like the volume knob on my guitar turned down 30%! but since I have it on most of the time it's ok.
how much is the mega now anyway.
it was $99 not long ago.
with my marshall slp / 4-12 set up / HB GTR/ I use a TC Booster 1st, then an Ibanez TS-9 RI. and sometimes a Tube Driver. Strats I use an Ibanez sonic distortion or a boss sd 1. Depend on which amp also.
Good luck
I'd buy a line6 distortion pedal modeler.
1 on the Tube Driver.

I use a Jekyll amp; Hyde, it's a fabulous pedal.
