I wanna get a set of new tuners for my '02 American strat. I hope I don't want to make any holes for new tuners. What would you suggest? locking or not doesn't matter.
Thanks
fender/schaller locking tuners...drop right in since they are the only ones with the 2 mounting pins like regular fender/schaller tuners...all other tuners use one pin or a screw to hold them on which means you have to drill holes. however if you go with sperzels they will cover the quot;footprintquot; of the old tuner for the most part but you need to drill a hole b/t the two fender holes for the one sperzel mounting pin. so, there you have it for modern tuners with no drilling.

I'm really jonesing hard for some planet waves self cutting locking tuners. One of the Shops here has them for $60. They have an 18/1 ratio as well. Of course I'm weird because I like those new fangled steinberger tuners from stewmac as well, with their 40/1 ratio.

Grovers are nice. What are the stock one's doing or not doing that they should/should'nt?
