I've just got hold of a Gibson Sonex 180 deluxe neck humbucker, can anybody tell me some things about this pickup, and whether it could be worth something. I'll take some pics of it soon.

My first guitar was a Sonex and boy did it suck. Some of the Sonexes had DiMarzio Super Distortions and others had high output Gibson buckers. I'd definitely expect it to be hot. I remember even the neck pickup being pretty hot and middy.

is that one of those clear pickups?

No, this one is a reversed zebra, its got a gold base plate with the words quot;SONEX 180 DELUXEquot; i'm guessing it came from the deluxe model Sonex. It did sound very warm and creamy in an EPI LP copy. Does anybody know what magnet it has. Like i promised i'll take some pics when i get home from work.
