well, on the nashville, i have the strat amp; neck one lowered all the way, but if i put a thin piece of metal under the string, i can still feel some pull from the strat one
so my question is - if i go for 2 pickups like i originally planned, what difference will i notice in the hot rail?
if its no difference at all I'll prolly end up leaving it as is, but if its a noticable difference, I'm gonna go ahead with the vintage mini hum for sure
heck, may even take out the strat one till then!
the neck pickup will always have the MOST impact on string pull. torque=distance from pivotXforce.
Since the neck pickup is furthest from the bridge, it will always be generating a larger amount of pull than your other pickups.
I'm pretty sure hot rails have a hefty magnet, and as a result, it could get more string pull. At the same time, both rails are at the surface. With two weaker pickups in neck and middle positions, i think you'd get less string pull-with the hot rails, it seems that you'll be focusing more pull at the neck, generating more torque and string pull.
BUT, the rails could generate less pull because their fields are not tightly focused behind each string like conventional pickup poles. You'll need a hot rails user to chime in.
wow, confusing, but thanks
