I saw these in the musicians friend mag. and website.
What's the catch here. A 100w all tube (6l6) 2/12 combo amp for $500. That's even cheaper than their v-series amps.

They're not on the peavey website even yet, or well I couldn't find them.

I might try one, unless they're super sh*ty.

Anyone have any info on these things.

There's a 50 watt 112 also. They aren't out yet, so nobody knows. I was going to order one and return it if I didn't like it, but MF keeps pushing the date ahead so I don't know when they're coming in. I needed a new amp, since I left my 212 at the high school for jazz band. I played the Classic 30 in a store and went ahead and ordered that from MF. The features are great and the price is right on the Valve King, but I'm loving my Classic 30. Have you thought about one of those? 3 12ax7, 4 EL84, 30 watts, 112. Great amp.

I've heard good things about the classic 30.

How's the gain on that thing? Needs a peadl in front?

I just got back from my room playing it. I expected to have to use a pedal when I bought it, but there's no way I would need any more gain. Plenty for metal. I had it up half way on the volume just now and the gain was on 10 out of 12. Way awesome.

Sykes, what kind of music do you play? What kind of volume do you need? Do you gig? Just wondering.

Wonder if Peavey is having these made in China

Seems the only way they could sell amps for that low of a price would be to have them made in either China or Korea.

I like the looks of a $500 100w 2x12 Peavey tube combo.............a lot.

These need to come out so somebody can talk to me about them.

i know it sounded good at NAMM, but i didnt really pay attention to it
