I've got a chance to get a seth lover or a Rio Grande Genuine Texas humbucker (9.0 k) that I would be putting in the bridge of an epi sg.
Just wondering if anyone has experiences with the Rio grandes? I know the seth will return the classic sounds we all know and love.
I like the ABB, Skynyrd, Tull, etc. classic sounds so I'm thinking either would do.
I've tried a 59n in the bridge position and it does quite well. It still has plenty of cut and twang for not being a quot;bridgequot; position pickup.
The neck position position will probably end up with a '59 or 490R for messing around with Allman Brothers stuff.
I Have Seth's In A Epi. Les Paul And They Do An Outstanding Job For Skynyrd, tull And Other Classic Rock Bands!!!!!
I'd say go with the Texas. It will be hotter than the Seth and give you more choices as to what pickup to put in the neck
