What do you guys think? I'm thinking my next purchase to be a Second hand/cheap Jazzmaster, and get 2 phat cats and put them in her. Match made in heaven, or hell?? Or maybe one Phat cat in the neck and a quater pounder in the bridge?
Well, p90s sound good in just about anything... but you'll have better luck with a Squire Jagmaster if you're going the phat cat route. No routing. There is no cheap Jazzmaster anymore plus the squire doesn't have the stupid, useless bridge.
That said there's nothing like a stock jazzmaster... or jaguar
slade
Yeah, i can get a Jagmaster here in aussie land for about 500 bucks. I mean that sounds 'too cheap' tome. Anyone have any experince with them? Value for money? Or just a peice of ****e?
Hmmm... I've never been a fan of Squire stuff. I love their ideas and the look of the axes (tele with 2 p90s? Gimmegimmegimme!!!) but I played one once and it felt REALLY cheap and cr@ppy. Nowhere near as good as my Epi...

sladeIf you set up the Jazzmaster bridge with Graphtech parts, you have a very good bridge...
You will also need to tighten up the clearances between the saddle post.
