I know this question makes me sound like a neophyte but I've honestly never had to do this. How do I raise the action on a single string for my Strat? The bridge is stock and I only need to raise the B and high e strings.

There should be two allen screws on each saddle, turn clockwise to raise. I would turn each screw 1/4 turn then check, if it still isn't high enough go another 1/4 turn. Go here

yes, you may have to take your guitar to the hardware store to find the correct one if you don't have the original. They have used different size ones over the years.
