I had no idea ever made amps! Looks kinda rough though!
I almost bought one of those many years ago. Played one at an quot;audition from hellquot; one time, it sounded great. I remember Vinnie Zumo used on on tour with Joe Jackson in the 80's - the Big World tour. I also remember seeing Rick Derringer using one at the Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia, backing up some model-turned-piano-singer-songwriter babe. Can't remember her name, but I never forget an amp.
And... I just saw one of those for sale here in Houston at my local GC. It's kind of a weird find at a GC - it's just the amp chassis, with no cab. Not a haed, just the bare chassis out of its box. I think it was the single-channel version, don't remember the price.
Anyway, they were great amps. Extremely flexible, but I'm not sure how reliable they were with all those little plug-in modules.
If that's one of the Convertibles (can't view the auction), I've only seen one or two around in the past 20 years or so. But I do remember the ad in all the guitar magazines with Seymour and Jeff Beck playing while sitting on a yellow hot rod.
yea.. the auction says convertible..
and looks gigged to hell and back
Why were they discontinued. From what I read in the site they seem to have been discontinued for some years and I've always wondered why.
They really are pretty good amps, lots of people had problems with the reliablity and I have heard thats why Duncan stopped making them...that one looked like hell. I want one, Im just waiting for a nice clean one with several modules.
why do you need a clean one!??!
a real man would get that one.. without a tetanus shot!
now THAT would be metal
LOL
that amp ain't nothing that a little TLC couldn't take care of
