Have anyone used a lil screamin demon in their strat guitar in the bridge position b4? I wanna know wad kine of tone this pup will produce when in high gain and when its clean and wad kine of music is this pup suitable for playing. Thanks ppl.
I have one in my Gamp;L Legacy. The sound is like a cross between a full size Demon, and a single coil. Actually, it's more like 65% humbucker, 35% single.
The Lil Demon sounded killer through a 5150. Very articulate, but with a pretty big sound. It actually sits very well in the mix when playing with a full band. You could certainly play hard rock with it, and even metal if your amp is up to the task.
The one thing that I did notice was that it was not an easy pickup to play, meaning, if your used to high output distortion type pickups (JB is a good example) where you can get away with not being accurate, the Lil Demon is going to show any slop in your playing. Overall, a great sounding pickup, but you better be on your game, especially when it comes to playing any lead guitar.
I have one in a Strat and I was quite surprised by it. Lots of snarl and thunk like SD says, but it's sweet and not as bright as I was expecting.
