Guys-
You are all bound to be board to death with my warmoth project- But will order parts in about a week and have one last 'option' to deal with-
P90s appear on practically every guitar out there, but is there any 'prefered' string spacing for them? I'm considering the Sclaler 475 Flat Mount tha toffers any spacing from 2quot; to 2-3/16, so I guess I would just line the pole pieces up in that event-
But I had also considered a string though design and had only found 2 -16th offered for a black fender type hard tail-
Any expereince in this area on hard tail bridges and or spaceing?
Much thanks!
I’ve got the Schaller bridge on my P-90 Tele, amp; you are right, it will align to just about any string spacing. The stings don't go through the body though, if that's important to you, there are humbucker spaced Strat bridges out there that will work. Sorry, I don't know the model no., but I think they are on the Warmoth site.
Thanks BBB!
MAybe we're had this convesration before but what woods are your tele and which p90s did you use?
Sorry I didn't answer sooner, no internet this weekend.
The body is cheap, basswood or poplar, I'm not sure. The neck is a 50's style maple board, Saga neck. It has a vintage SD neck p-90 in the bridge, and an antiquity neck p-90 in the neck slot. It's wired to a 4-way switch and the tone pot is a push-pull switch that changes phase.
