This MAY be getting repetitive to some of you guys.... but I could really use the help!

.Have Jackson DKMG, ALDER body, EMG-HZ pickups..... dont like em.

.Looking to replace, I need a push in the right direction!

.I REALLY like earlier Napalm Death sound... around the Harmony Corruption and Utopia Banished albums

.I also like new Exhumed (and old!), Engorged's first album and the first two Leng T'che albums

.......so basically I like heavily, 'horrible' distorted stuff, palm mutes, grindcore riffs/shredding, and some soloing as well (in that style of music), and this is what im looking to set my guitar up to play... NOT NU METAL! and EMG HZs dont cut it..

I've been told putting active pups (IE 81/85s...) in a guitar setup for passives takes A LOT of work on the guitar, so i was hoping to put passives in this one.

.Passives I'd been looking at were SH5 or SH6, ALTHOUGH i heard DD's sound not so good in ALDER guitars?? but maybe for my kind of music??

.ALSO Dimarzio X2N, and Super Distortion, or any recommendation anyone can make!

For this guitar I'm not really looking for a Retro-metal tones at all... I'll get a different guitar when I feel like playing that..

Longwinded post, I know! But please help!

PS my other gear is DECENT and am satisfied with it, now focusing on pickups!

i'd go for the SH5 Duncan Custom.
