This is for my non computer saavy bass player..
He is looking to upgrade his rig to something more powerful. Right now he plays a Crate BX100 and while he (and I) like the tone he gets out of it, we have played a couple of places now that didnt mike his bass and he would like something he doesnt have to peg all the time.
If you know of something that is in the same price range, say about $500 ish please tell me!
The tone he is looking for is lots o bass, lots of low-mids the tinniest bit of mids and no highs. More like a Force of Nature tone than a slap tone.
Also he is really interested in the sub harmonizer in both of these amps, so any comments on that would be appreciated.
And finally does the Behringer come with a footswitch to turn the subharmonizer on? Is the Ashdowns sub footswitchable?
Thank you
I havent played the Behringer but when I was looking at getting a new amp I was told its like comparing a Beamer and a Nissan Micra. The Ashdown are well worth the little extra.
Thanks andBUMP
My brother's endorsed by Ashdown and can't say enough great things about them when we talk amps. He's pretty picky about amps too and I've been surprised that he's managed to find as much satisfaction in one amp as the Ashdown has afforded him.
