How would you compare the tone of ash, mahogany, and limba? And does white limba sound different than black limba?

has some good information on woods you might want to look into.

ash is brighter and snappier than mahogany which is a bit richer and darker. got no idea what limba sounds like.

I've heard limba is similar to mahogany, but more open, airy, and complex. Not sure if white and black sound different, but I'd almost think they'd have to at least a little bit. I absolutely love the looks of black limba, but haven't had a chance to play on any yet .
