As you know by now, I’m your turbo lover (Tell me there’s no other).

Anyway, hot do you get wacky flanger sound from the intro part of Turbo Lover. What pedal should I get?

Thanks,

another pedal?
LOL!!!! There is no Doctor that can cure your gas bro!!!!! You said it yourself in my sig!!!

I have not got a clue but, I wish you luck finding it.

It's not a pedal, it's a guitar synth

Oddly enough, I got close to that with a PHASER effect from my Yamaha DG-stop..
Since it's a synth, the Flange might be pedal controlled, creating the turbo loveable sound.. I also recall using some cheap tremolo on the song one time.. maybe it was on the solo.

I was wondering if a lot of people actually knew that song . Saw Priest live w/ Queensryche two weeks ago. They were both amazing and Rob Halford gets my vote for one of the nicest, most genuine rock stars out there

He ALMOST made me wish I wasn't straight.. almost j/k

People do know that song surprisingly well, but most of them take it too seriously...

I've always found that the best flanger for getting a Judas Priest sound is the Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress ( from : localhost/). However, as T.O. stated, that is a guitar synth on that song.

As a sort of a side note, I've seen both Mr Tipton and Mr Downing state that they use lots of equipment, and there can me various sounds and setups in a single song, not to mention the tonal differences between songs live...

I still think the Flanger is pedal controlled somehow.. maybe you could get those sounds with a Digitech Whammy and a good flanger.. Maybe

Just turn your Marshall up and play the damn song. Oh wait, you sold your Marshall didn't you? You can't play Priest without a Marshall. Go back to country.

You can actually play KK's part with no effects reasonably well...

Yea, but you still need the Marshall. Personally, I like quot;Locked Inquot; better than quot;Turbo Loverquot;. The video had me laughing my ass off!!!!

The whole Turbo album actually features neat solos.. And I just love quot;Rock you all around the worldquot; The album should not be judged by the first track on it.

turbo Lover is a cool track, when not taken too seriously, and the live version of it is even cooler with all those red and yellow lights reminding of the Turbo album cover.. And chicks dig it when I find quot;the perfect synchronisityquot; while TL is playing in the background..

That album's a gem in my opinion.

private property is my personal favorite from that

Priest lovers- check this out;
from : localhost/have some real cool free Guitar features (real player) where Glenn and KK show and talk about their guitars, each about 15 minutes long, Very interesting stuff! He shows some of his synth guitars, and plays a few leads on regular guitar.
I was floored when Tipton showed a Gibson 335 and said it was his favorite guitar!

yeah, ive had those saved on my comp for about a year, theyre awesome. anybody know what lead downing is playing towards the end of his vid? it sounds cool as hell
